About the Conference:

Made For More

Many young women today are talented, intelligent, and full of dreams, yet many still struggle with questions of identity, confidence, purpose, and direction. Some feel pressure from society to shrink their ambitions, while others are unsure how to turn their potential into meaningful impact.

The Young Women Conference (YWC) is an annual gathering dedicated to empowering and connecting young women across Africa. Organised by the Double Edged Impact Network, a community of impact-driven professionals committed to advancing humanity, this conference serves as a vital platform for young women to engage in meaningful conversations and equip themselves with the knowledge, wisdom, and perspective required to thrive in today’s world.

Our mission through this conference is to foster a safe and inclusive environment where young women can connect, network, and cultivate valuable relationships that transcend personal, business, and career boundaries. The conference is designed to move women (intellectually, emotionally, and practically) and to send them home not just inspired, but equipped.

YWC is proudly part of Double Edged Impact Network’s broader mission to build a community of purposeful individuals working together to advance the cause of humanity, and it stands as one of the organisation’s most visible expressions of that mission in action.

About the theme:

The theme of the 2026 conference (Made For More) emerges from a recognition that too many young women today are living below their full potential, not because they lack ability, but because they have been shaped by cultures, upbringing, environments, experiences, and internal narratives that have convinced them to settle.

To settle for less than they deserve in life. To aim below their true capacity in their career and business pursuits. To stay silent when they should lead. To keep giving without ever truly investing in themselves.

“Made for More” is a direct challenge to that culture of settling. It challenges every young woman to do away with mediocrity and step out of their comfort zone. It brings every young woman to the awareness that she was not built for the life she has been accepting, she was built for something greater.

Being made for more is not simply about ambition; it is about recognising one’s worth, developing one’s gifts, and living with the awareness that every stage of life presents opportunities for growth and impact. It is about moving beyond self-doubt, embracing responsibility for personal growth, and pursuing excellence in every area of life.

So, through this conference, we aim to remind young women that they were created with the capacity to grow, lead, and create value. To challenge them to see themselves beyond limitations and to begin building their lives in a way that reflects confidence, clarity, and purpose. To invest their time, energy, and talents wisely, positioning themselves to make meaningful contributions within their communities, professions, and relationships.

Through this theme, the conference will:

  • Encourage young women to recognise their inherent value and potential.
  • Inspire participants to pursue purposeful and intentional lives.
  • Provide practical insights for personal growth, career development, and financial responsibility.
  • Equip young women with the confidence and mindset needed to pursue opportunities and create impact.
  • Promote healthy perspectives on relationships, identity, and community.

A young woman who understands she is Made for More does not allow fear, comparison, or uncertainty to define her path. Instead, she grows intentionally, pursues excellence, and uses her life as a platform for meaningful impact.

Join us at the Young Women Conference 2026 and become a part of this transformative journey towards personal growth, purpose, and meaningful connections. Together, we will become more, do more, and give more, advancing not only ourselves but also the cause of humanity.
